The health of oft-injured Heat forward Mike Miller is improving at a quick rate, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said Tuesday. Miller participated in a 45-minute shooting session Tuesday morning and then went through more shooting drills during Tuesday's pregame. "I watched his workout [Monday], and he's able to do a lot more moving into his shooting … and a lot of it was on the run," Spoelstra said. "We have every one of his workouts monitored and watched closely by our training staff." Spoelstra said Miller will travel with the team on the trip to Charlotte, N.C., and Minneapolis but only so the training staff can keep an eye on him. Miller has a reputation for pushing himself too hard while rehabilitating injuries. The 11-year veteran has undergone four surgeries in the past year. The latest procedure to treat a sports hernia occurred just before the start of training camp. "He's not allowed to do any workout without us there observing so that he doesn't do too much," Spoelstra said.
