The Chicago Blackhawks' Jamal Mayers hasn't played during the Western Conference semifinals against the Detroit Red Wings, but the veteran did find a way to make an impact. In warmups prior to Game 5 on Saturday night at the United Center, Mayers shot pucks through Wings players and into the Detroit goal. The NHL fined Mayers a half-days pay on Monday for his actions. "I was trying to get under their skin, I'm not going to hide behind it or lie to you," Mayers said following the Hawks' morning skate prior to Game 6 on Monday at Joe Louis Arena. "The league fined me and took the appropriate action and I'll play the piper. "All of us in there will do anything to win," Mayers added. "I don't want the focus to be me. I was just trying to get under their skin. The guys are playing unbelievable and playing really well. We've got a huge task in front of us." Mayers has been a healthy scratch throughout the postseason.
