The Seattle Seahawks announced on Friday that they have re-signed kicker Steven Hauschka. Terms of the contract were not disclosed. Hauschka, 27, joined the Seahawks after being claimed off waivers from the Denver Broncos in September 2011. Last season, Hauschka made 24 of 27 field goals and scored a career-high 118 points. He holds the franchise record with at least one field goal in 14 consecutive games from Oct. 9, 2011, to Sept. 16, 2012. Hauschka has made 49 of 57 attempts (86 percent) during his two seasons with the Seahawks, but he is just 3 of 8 (37.5 percent) from 50 yards or more. Hauschka ranked 22nd in the league last season with 41.4 percent of his kickoffs resulting in touchbacks. He is expected to compete with Carson Wiggs for the Seahawks’ kicking job.
