The Miami Marlins' franchise player is now a Los Angeles Dodger. The Marlins traded third baseman Hanley Ramirez to the Dodgers early Wednesday morning for pitching prospects Nathan Eovaldi and Scott McGough, according to multiple reports. The Dodgers also acquire lefthanded reliever Randy Choate in the deal. The trade comes a week before baseball's non-waiver trade deadline and signals the end of an era in Marlins baseball. It is expected that the Dodgers will pay the full tab on the final two years Ramirez's contract, and the final $6 million he is due this season. Ramirez is owed $15.5 million in 2013 and $16 million in 2014.
