This was the Grizzlies' second wire-to-wire victory on the season (the other being against the Blazers in Portland). First Quarter The Grizzlies starters came out sharp, led by Mike Conley and Zach Randolph with 18 combined points in the opening quarter. Zach tallied 7 of his 11 rebounds in the period, beating in Utah's soft-serve front court like a bean bag chair. The Jazz made it a respectable 30-19 at the end of one thanks to a banked three by Trey Burke, but everyone not named Trey Burke shot 3-12 in the quarter. Second Quarter The lead quickly ballooned to 37-21 as Joerger went to the bench -- Jon Leuer got an early call with Calathes, Miller, and Koufos -- but he was keen not to let the lead shrink, bringing back Gasol and Randolph when Utah got within single digits. The Grizz steadied the pace and maintained the lead with a heavy dose of interior play, and an 8-2 run in the final two minutes of the quarter made it at 48-32 halftime lead.
