The question initially stumped Greg Monroe. Before the Pistons rookie stepped on the floor at the downtown Convention Center Friday morning with the rest of his teammates for that night's rookie-sophomore game, he was asked to grade the first 55 games of his NBA career. After little consideration, he finally had an answer. "I don't know. That's a good question. I have improved, and that's something I'm happy about," Monroe said. "I still have a lot of room for improvement, so I'd say, C. I'd give myself a C." There are many within the organization who would call Monroe a tough grader since Monroe's emergence over the past month and a half has been one of the few bright spots in the team's 21-36 record. After garnering two DNPs-coach's decisions to start his career, he has gotten progressively better. Since the beginning of 2011, he is averaging nearly 11 points and 8.2 rebounds over the past 24 games.
