Midweek afternoon baseball games at Sun Life Stadium usually weren't good for attendance. Crowds on sweltering school days could often be counted by the hundreds, and the energy level in the building, players said, was often lacking. Maybe that will change under the air-conditioning comfort at Marlins Park. Playing their first Getaway Day game under the roof at their new digs, the Marlins drew a crowd of 23,168 Thursday, many of whom stuck around, stood on their feet and roared as closer Heath Bell put the finishing touches on a 5-3 victory over the visiting Chicago Cubs.
