Curtis Granderson suffered another unfortunate strike from fate. This one came to his left hand. He was hit by a pitch in the fifth inning and left the game to undergo X-Rays. The results showed that the Yankees' outfielder had fractured the knuckle on his left pinky finger. It is the second time that he has been hit by a pitch this season and suffered an injury. In February, he was hit by a pitch from Blue Jays pitcher J.A. Happ and broke his right forearm. He subsequently missed 38 games to begin the season, only coming back earlier this month.
