Adrian Gonzalez is starting again in right field Tuesday night, this time in an American League ballpark as the Red Sox try to create lineup space for Kevin Youkilis and fill the gaps in an injury-depleted outfield. Boston activated regular third baseman Youkilis (back strain) from the 15-day disabled list before Tuesday's game against the Orioles and put him right back in the lineup. Youkilis is hitting fifth as the first baseman -- not his regular position these days, but still one he's very familiar with -- one spot in front of rookie Will Middlebrooks. Middlebrooks remains at third base where he's been productive in the Boston batting order. The rookie is batting .297 with five homers and 16 RBIs in 18 games since his call up after Youkilis' injury. Gonzalez played the outfield twice over the weekend against the Phillies when the Sox did not have a designated hitter because of Interleague Play. David Ortiz took over at first base in those games.
