Sometimes a quarter inch is the difference. After the Stars pulled the goalie, there were scrambles and missed opportunities, and even Ray Whitney hitting the post with a minute to go. "A quarter inch one way, it goes in," Stars defenseman Alex Goligoski said. "(You're) just hoping it goes in. You hear the pipe and you kind of lost it. I don't know. We (gave) ourselves a chance at the end there. … In a game like that when you're down two going into the third, all your really hoping for is a chance at the end."
