The Giants placed Pablo Sandoval on the disabled list with a left foot strain, the club announced Tuesday afternoon. Sandoval missed the Giants' three-game series in St.Louis two weekends ago after originally straining the foot in the team's 5-2 victory over the A's on May 30. He returned to the lineup when the Giants hosted the Blue Jays last Tuesday but aggravated the injury in his first at-bat in Arizona on Saturday and had to leave the game in the third inning. He did not start Sunday's series finale and was seen in a walking boot as the Giants dressed for their flight to Pittsburgh.
