The Giants will open the preseason with another installment of the Mara-Rooney family rivalry – tongue-in-cheek, of course – when they face the Steelers at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh. The Giants will host the Colts in Week 2 and the Jets in Week 3 before traveling to New England for the finale. This is the first time since 2010 the Giants will play their entire preseason slate against AFC competition. The Colts’ game will be played in prime time Sunday, Aug. 18, at MetLife Stadium on Ch. 5. Dates and times for the three other games will be determined later and likely won’t be made official until the league releases its regular-season schedule during an April 16 broadcast on the NFL Network. — Art Stapleton The Jets will open the preseason by visiting Detroit, but will play the rest of their August games at MetLife Stadium. They will return home to host Jacksonville in Week 2, and then will play a road game against the Giants.
