The Giants still have some time to decide whether Eli Manning will lead them into next season and beyond, which, yes, has been an ongoing conversation outside and within Big Blue headquarters.

The two top quarterback draft prospects don’t have as much flexibility.

Dwayne Haskins and Justin Herbert have yet to announce their intentions for the coming NFL draft and have until Jan. 14 to make up their minds.

“Still haven’t thought about it,” Herbert, whom the Giants scouted mid-way through the season with Oregon, recently told reporters. “We’ll find out. I kind of focused on this year. We got a big bowl game [vs. Michigan State] coming up and that deserves all the attention right now.”

It was reported earlier this season that Herbert was leaning toward staying for his senior season, though the same was said about Sam Darnold around that same time last year. He of course now spends his time on One Jets Drive.
