Giants second baseman Marco Scutaro is over the finger injury he suffered last July, but his back is another story. He told MLB.com's Chris Haft that he intends to skip some drills early in spring training and ease himself back into things. "It seems like when you have a bad back, your whole body feels [bad]," said Scutaro to Haft. "It's one of those things that's annoying, but you have to deal with it ... We're probably going to take it easy for the first week or so ... Get my body ready for 162 games." Manager Bruce Bochy indicated the team intends to give Scutaro, who turned 38 in October, some more time off during the season.
