The Giants made a number of roster moves Friday adding a starting pitcher and a utility infielder. San Francisco acquired right-handed pitcher Guillermo Moscoso from the Chicago Cubs in exchange for cash considerations and a player to be named later and activated Joaquin Arias from the 15-day disabled list. Relief pitcher Jake Dunning was optioned to Triple-A to clear a 25-man roster spot for Arias. Moscoso 29 was with the Cubs' Triple-A affiliate in Iowa but is expected to report to the Giants big league club and add a capable arm to the back end of the rotation when he is activated on Saturday. Prior to the trade he was 7-5 with a 3.93 ERA in 17 starts for the Iowa Cubs collecting 94 strikeouts and 47 walks.
