George Springer is having a lot of trouble staying healthy right now.
After missing the last four games with lower back stiffness, he exited Friday's matchup with the Red Sox in the eighth inning with a noticeable limp after attempting to slide to catch a foul popup.
The Astros' outfielder immediately limped back to his spot in right field but then called for trainers and walked into the clubhouse.
He confirmed after the game it was a hamstring issue.
"Going for the ball, giving it as much as I can, and hamstring locked up, and that's all I got really, honestly I don't have anything more than that," Springer said. "Just, we'll have to see what happens and hope for the best."
After the game, manager A.J. Hinch said Springer will likely land on the injured list.
