After coming to terms with Ronald Araujo on a multi-year contract extension agreement last month, Barcelona club officials are now aiming to sign Gavi to such a deal as well.

In speaking ahead of Barca’s La Liga away fixture against Real Betis, club director of football Mateu Alemany confirmed that Gavi aspires to stay put and that the two sides are looking to reach an agreement on a new deal.

“Gavi wants to stay, and we are talking about making him a Barca player for many years,” Alemany said.”
