Gavin Floyd will undergo season-ending surgery to repair the ulnar collateral ligament and a torn flexor muscle in his right elbow, the White Sox announced Monday. The recovery time for the procedure is 14-19 months. Floyd is in the final year of a four-year, $15.5 million contract signed in 2009 and will be a free agent after this season. In five starts with the White Sox in 2013, Floyd was 0-5 with a 5.18 ERA and last pitched on April 27. In seven years with the White Sox, Floyd had a 4.22 ERA with 828 strikeouts over 175 games (168 starts) and 1,042 2/3 innings pitched.
