The Grizzlies stopped short of calling their precious two practice days a mini training camp earlier this week. But they covered a lot of ground — figuratively and literally. The team ran what seemed like miles for conditioning purposes the first day. The second day was geared toward sharpening its execution with great emphasis on details. Griz coach Lionel Hollins then commended his players Wednesday night for how well they handled everything he threw at them. The Dallas Mavericks found out, too, during the Grizzlies' 96-85 victory before a crowd of 17,023 in FedExForum.
