The Florida State football team has endured another season-ending injury blow. FSU third-year wide receiver George Campbell will be out for the season with the same hip/core muscle injury that sidelined him last season, coach Jimbo Fisher said after Wednesday’s practice before the Seminoles departed for Boston College for Friday’s game. Campbell may require surgery again for the injury, but it is not known at this time, Fisher said. “It’s very difficult because it’s nothing he did. He was coming back. Just certain people, an 8 or 10 percent of people who have this surgery have this issue,” Fisher said of Campbell. “They can fix it again … They can clean it up, and it should be okay. But it happens, and it happened to him.” As for two other injured FSU wide receivers, Fisher said junior Auden Tate (shoulder, ankle) will play but Keith Gavin will be out for “significant time” after suffering a knee and high ankle surgery.
