Florida State has reportedly suspended offensive lineman Josh Ball after a hearing by the university judicial panel for his role in a dating violence case last year involving his former girlfriend.

The length of the suspension for Ball, who was expected to start for the Seminoles next season, is unknown at this time, according to a Tuesday report from Warchant.com.

FSU’s athletics department has not returned a request for comment at this time.

But Sandra Sellers, an FSU student from Hillsborough County who began dating Ball in February 2016, posted a screen shot of FSU’s ruling on social media Monday night. The post has since been deleted.

“This long journey has finally come to an end! After two long days of testifying and two agonizing weeks of waiting for this letter, it’s finally here,” Sellers wrote. “Thank you FSU for making campus a better place.”

Sellers posted the ruling closed “this chapter of my life for good,” and added she will be able to enjoy football season without seeing Ball on the field.
