Bacary Sagna is set to give Arsenal a huge boost by signing a new two-year contract. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger expects it to be resolved within the next fortnight after a long-running stalemate over Sagna's future. Sagna, 30, is out of contract at the end of the season and has attracted interest from Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain. Arsenal have been scouting right backs fearing Sagna was off. Even Sagna's team mates feared he was definitely off in the summer but Arsenal have resurrected contract talks and, according to Wenger, there has been a breakthrough. Wenger said: “Yes, that could be decided in next two weeks. It looks positive. It would be a great boost, of course.” The full-back , who is rated at 50-50 of being fit to play at Manchester City, believes he is worth one last big contract at Arsenal after staying loyal to the club. Mirror Sport understands that big-spending City have tried to sign him TWICE in the past but, while other top names have left, Sagna has stayed and now wants his loyalty rewarded.
