Freddy Garcia got off to a rough start in his Cactus League debut today. In the first inning, he gave up a three-run bomb to his former teammate Raul Ibanez amidst five straight hits. Altogether, he gave up five runs (one unearned) on five hits and a hit batsman. Ibanez, Kyle Seager, and Robert Andino all went 2-for-3 against Padres pitching. Reliever Fautino De Los Santos didn't have as much trouble on the mound, striking out three and allowing just one hit over two scoreless frames. Cameron Maybin, who made his first Spring appearance today, hit an RBI single in the 4th to put San Diego on the board. Alexi Amarista and Yasmani Grandal also drove in runs, off the bench.
