Tight end Fred Davis is on the Washington Redskins’ inactive list for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears at FedEx Field. Davis’s de-activation comes as a surprise given that he was listed as probable on the official injury report due to an ankle injury. Unless Davis suffered a setback with his injury it is another sign that Davis has fallen behind rookie Jordan Reed as the coaches’ preferred pass-catching tight end. Rookie cornerback David Amerson is active and is expected to play a week after suffering a concussion during the Redskins’ loss last Sunday night at Dallas. Rookie safety Bacarri Rambo and rookie running back Chris Thompson also are on the Redskins’ inactive list. Rambo has failed to work his way back into the defensive playing rotation after opening the season as a starter. Thompson has lost the job as the team’s top punt and kickoff returner. Linebacker Josh Hull and safety Trenton Robinson who were signed during the week to bolster the special teams are active for the game.
