Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has dropped a huge hint regarding the transfer of Kai Havertz by liking a video of the star on social media.

The Blues are leading the race to sign the Bayer Leverkusen forward with club chiefs from both sides locked in discussions over a deal.

Havertz is said to be keen on a switch to Stamford Bridge and is believed to have already agreed terms on a five-year contract.

Lampard has been cleverly side-stepping questions on the 21-year-old, and did so again with his latest comments when asked about Havertz after Chelsea's defeat to Bayern Munich on Saturday.

"I wouldn’t expect anything but it’s our job to go away and see what happens and see where we can improve," he said.
