Closer Frank Francisco, on the 15-day disabled list with a rib cage injury, suffered a setback and will not begin a planned rehabilitation assignment this week. "He just didn't feel right, so they said, 'Look, you're not ready to pitch then,'?" Terry Collins said. "He's so big and strong that the one thing you can't have is, if he's not ready to go out there, he can do some serious damage to it." In Francisco's absence, Bobby Parnell has pitched effectively in the ninth inning, but the relief-starved Mets can ill afford to lose Francisco for long. Team medical staff will re-evaluate Francisco on Sunday or Monday, Collins said.
