There will be a seminar on pick-off moves at Rangers’ camp Saturday. Retired LHP Kenny Rogers, in the club’s Hall of Fame, will begin his stay as a guest instructor. Manager Ron Washington wants Rogers to spend some time working with left-handers on pickoff moves. Rogers had a superlative move, picking off 94 runners in a 20-year career. Only one major-leaguer has more pickoff since 1974: Andy Pettitte of the New York Yankees, with 102. Rogers will find one eager student. LHP Derek Holland is an aficionado of pickoff moves, sometimes to his detriment. “Holland loves to work on his move, to a fault sometimes,’’ manager Ron Washington said. “Hopefully, Kenny can give him some information that will click right way, and he can relax.” Holland had a team-high five pickoffs last season. Holland said that he regrets having only one day to work with Rogers. Holland will join Team USA for the World Baseball Classic on Sunday.
