Well, former Detroit Lions receiver Mike Williams' stint in the CFL did not last long. Williams was released by the Toronto Argonauts eight days after signing Detroit's former first-round draft pick. He was among three players released by Toronto before the season began. This was Williams' second attempt to revive his professional career, and probably his last. Williams was a first-round selection by Detroit in 2005, but finished as one of the biggest busts in NFL history. He had 29 receptions for 350 yards and one touchdown as a rookie. Williams had eight receptions for 99 yards and one touchdown in 2006 before he was ultimately traded to the Oakland Raiders. After exiting the NFL, Williams spent 2010 and 2011 with the Seattle Seahawks. Williams had 65 receptions for 751 yards and two touchdowns in 2010, which was his most productive NFL season. It now appears his professional career is over.
