As we approach the March 12 deadline for all teams to be under the salary cap, more and more news will be coming out of players being cut by teams to clear salary cap space. The New York Jets and the Kansas City Chiefs were among those teams and a couple of the players that were let go will be familiar to Arizona Cardinals fans. Linebacker Calvin Pace was released by the Jets and wide receiver Steve Breaston was cut by the Chiefs. Pace played for Arizona, drafted in the first round in 2003. He struggled until he was moved from defensive end to outside linebacker and then played well enough to land himself a six-year, $42 million contract with the Jets in 2008.
