The Flyers on Friday announced their first two signings of the offseason, and neither was a surprise. As has been widely reported, the club inked overage junior defenseman Maxim Lamarche, who turns 21 in July, and 24-year-old Austrian right wing, Michael Raffl. Lamarche played the last four years in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for Baie-Commeau Drakkar. He’s 6-foot-3, 218 pounds with a right-handed shot. Lamarche scored nine goals with 43 points in 55 games last season in the QMJHL, an improvement over his 25 points the season before.
