The New Jersey Devils acquired goaltender Eddie Lack in exchange for defenseman Dalton Prout, the teams announced on Saturday. The Flames traded for Lack this summer in one of two moves by Calgary that shook up their goaltending depth, also adding Mike Smith from the Arizona Coyotes. While Smith has been a revelation for Calgary, Lack, who is in the final year of a two-year, $5.5 million deal, has struggled. In four appearances for Calgary this season, Lack was 2-1-2 with an .813 save-percentage. In late November, Lack was waived by the Flames and subsequently sent down to AHL Stockton.
