Calgary Flames left-winger Curtis Glencross skated on his own before practice Wednesday. But the veteran still isn’t ready to return from an ankle injury that has kept him out since mid-December. Flames head coach Bob Hartley says Glencross has not experienced any sort of setback. “It’s part of the plan,” Hartley said. “He’s at the stage that we call public skating right now. He feels better, but obviously not good enough to be skating with the team. Whenever you see a player on the ice, you know that he’s progressing.” Glencross has missed 37 games to injury this season Smith rejoins club The Flames recalled two players from the AHL’s Abbotsford Heat on Wednesday.
