As expected, Rangers first baseman Prince Fielder underwent successful neck surgery on Tuesday and will likely be sidelined for the next three to four months. Yahoo! Sports national baseball writer Tim Brown tweeted on Tuesday afternoon that the five-time All-Star is in recovery after undergoing an operation to repair a herniated disc in his neck that had been causing chronic pain and weakness through his left arm. The Rangers owe Fielder $130 million through 2020. The five-time All-Star has hit .247 with three home runs in 42 games this season.
