Rio Ferdinand insists that he wants to continue ‘living the dream’ at Manchester United beyond this summer, but admitted that his future may lie elsewhere. The central defender is out of contract at the end of the season; there had been talk that he was ready to retire, but the 35-year-old wants to carry on playing. Whether that will be at Old Trafford remains to be seen, however. Ferdinand has only started nine Premier League games under David Moyes, and just three since the end of September. United tend to negotiate new deals for players over 30 at the end of campaigns.
