John Abraham had heard enough from Atlanta Falcons fans asking him to return to the team. After all, he wasn't the one who ended his seven-year run with the organization. "Y yall keep tweeting me like I did it," Abraham tweeted on Monday. "I got cut stop asking to come back plz" At one point, it wasn't just the fans asking Abraham to return. The Falcons have been in contact with the free-agent defensive end and future Hall of Fame candidate about a return, but were told by Abraham it's not going to happen, a person informed of those talks told USA TODAY Sports. The person, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the conversations were to remain private, said there was a big push from inside the Falcons locker room for Abraham to consider coming back. Abraham, who has never played in a Super Bowl and came awfully close last season, was owed $5.75 million in base salary this season before being released. Wherever he winds up, he'll have to take a discount from that figure, but he was not interested in doing so with the Falcons.
