A former TCU wide receiver has named football coach Gary Patterson, the university and the Big 12 Conference as defendants in a lawsuit in which he alleges a pattern of abuse and harassment, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported. Kolby Listenbee, 24, is seeking damages in excess of $1 million in the suit filed in Dallas County civil court. He alleges that Patterson, former offensive coordinator Doug Meacham and other coaches “continually harassed, humiliated, pressured and threatened” him after a he was injured as a senior in September 2015, claiming coaches were trying to “force Listenbee to return to play quickly.” He also alleges that the Big 12 failed to review TCU’s compliance with NCAA rules and policies. TCU released a statement on the lawsuit but declined to comment on the specifics of the lawsuit, according to the Star-Telegram.
