Former Denver Broncos cornerback Lorenzo Doss got cut. Word came out afterward that he showed up late to a team meeting, so they just let him go. Doss was less than thrilled to see those reports going around. He fired back at Broncos boss John Elway and director of player personnel Matt Russell. “I’m disappointed in Matt Russell and Elway for putting out fake news about me,” Doss wrote on Twitter. “I never had a problem or been a problem in the locker room!! #scapegoat.” The Broncos have been bad this year, but it doesn’t make a lot of sense for Doss to be the scapegoat. He is a depth player, a guy who has 5 career tackles in two years. He doesn’t have a single stat in 2017. He’s never recorded an NFL interception in his life.
