Just when it seemed like Everton were done in what was an eventful and impactful transfer window, rumors have popped up linking Brazilian playmaker Bernard with a move to Al-Hilal before the Saudi Arabian window closes on October 25th.

The winger, signed in 2018, has made 68 appearances for the Blues in all competitions, having netted six goals with seven assists in the process. However, he has struggled for playing time since Carlo Ancelotti has taken over, and does not appears to be in the Italian manager’s immediate plans, though he has lined up in the middle against lower league opposition.

While Everton were able to secure Bernard on a free transfer, they will be motivated to offload his hefty wages, much like they did when they loaned out Theo Walcott to Southampton.
