Everton are closing in on Real Sociedad striker Willian Jose and are prepared to pay one of the biggest transfer fees in their history. The Brazilian is one of Everton's main priorities for the summer and director of football Steve Walsh met with representatives from Real Sociedad this week in an attempt to structure a deal before the window opens. Sociedad only signed Willian Jose 12 months ago and he has scored 11 goals in 28 appearances; his buyout clause is £33million but Everton are confident they will be able to secure his signature for £28million, which would equal the fee they paid for Romelu Lukaku in 2014. This will be the summer when Ronald Koeman really puts his stamp on the squad and Farhad Moshiri, Everton's major investor, is determined to provide the funds that will enable his manager to get the players he wants.
