Premier League trio Everton, Hull and Crystal Palace have joined Newcastle in the race for Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim. The 22-year-old midfielder, who has been compared to former Citezen Patrick Vieira in his playing style, is understood to have been told he is allowed to find a new club in January. The talented Norway Under-21 international is currently on loan at Stromsgodset and has helped the Norwegian side to the top of the Tippeligaen - with two goals and three assists - and could win the title with a single game left to play. A host of European sides, including Sevilla, Espanyol, Real Betis, Lyon, Lille, Saint-Etienne, Bordeaux, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, have all been linked with a move for the centre-midfielder, but he might yet be tempted to stay at Stromsgodset when his loan contract expires. Interested sides will have to act fast in the winter window, with the Drammen outfit keen to keep the Norwegian after an impressive season. "I think it is speculation," stated Stromsgodset sports director Jostein Flo to VG. "I will have a meeting with (Manchester) City in two or three weeks and then we will probably hear more. "He is on loan with us until the end of the year, but we would like to keep him."
