EVERTON are considering making the most of the chaos at Manchester United with a summer move for striker Danny Welbeck as an alternative to Romelu Lukaku. Welbeck has grown disillusioned under former United boss David Moyes and must wait to see who succeeds the Scot before deciding whether to sign a new contract. But Everton manager Roberto Martinez is interested in luring him to Goodison Park to boost his forward options. Martinez wants to sign Lukaku on a permanent deal from Chelsea after the Belgium striker impressed during his loan spell, scoring 14 goals and underpinning their Champions League challenge.
