Maybe new ownership brings good karma. On the same day Tom Benson purchased the New Orleans Hornets, Eric Gordon returned to the lineup and led New Orleans to a 96-85 victory against the Utah Jazz at the New Orleans Arena on Friday night. After missing two straight games with a sore lower back, Gordon scored a team-high 25 points to give the Hornets consecutive wins for the first time since Feb. 13-17, when they beat Utah, Milwaukee and New York. New Orleans (17-42), which beat Sacramento on Wednesday, has won four of its past six games and hosts Memphis on Sunday. "You guys see what we go through every day, and to come out with a win, it has to build confidence," Hornets Coach Monty Williams said. "At the same time, you look at the overall record, and it keeps me up at night. I know it's the same for our players, but as for the overall month, we want to keep it going."
