Edwin Encarnacion wasn't in the Blue Jays lineup Friday, but it wasn't the case of manager John Farrell giving him the day off for having hit both the 40 home run and 100 RBI plateau courtesy of his three-run bomb against Seattle on Thursday. "He's a little sore from getting hit in the (left) wrist the other night (in the third inning)," Farrell said. "It's precautionary. Is he expected to be back in the lineup Saturday? "As of now, yeah," Farrell replied. Encarnacion, meanwhile, has been on a pretty good home run tear of late. He has clubbed six in his past 12 games. With Encarnacion out of the lineup, Adam Lind was at first and batting cleanup with Moises Sierra as the DH.
