When it was rumored that the Chicago White Sox signed Eloy Jimenez to an eight-year, $100 million deal it didn't seem real.

And according to MLB insider Ken Rosenthal, Jimenez' contract with Chicago wasn't even close to the figure that was circulating.

Obviously, some were skeptical about a $100 million contract for a player that has yet to play in a major league game, whether he is the No. 3 prospect in baseball or not. Surely the White Sox still think very highly of Jimenez and his talent but this kind of money for a player with so little experience has to raise some questions.
