The Eagles continued their busy offseason by trading running back Dion Lewis for Cleveland Browns linebacker Emmanuel Acho. Lewis was considered expendable with LeSean McCoy, Bryce Brown and Chris Polk ahead of him at running back. There was a good chance the Eagles would have released Lewis if they couldn’t find a taker for him. In Acho, the Eagles get a linebacker who can help on special teams. Acho, the Browns’ sixth-round pick last year, was placed on injured reserve with a knee injury on Aug. 27 and missed the entire season. It was not a major move, as Acho acknowledged on his Twitter account, writing: “My (friend) said they probably traded me for some of Chip Kelly’s old Oregon gear!” Acho played his college football at the University of Texas, where he finished with 280 tackles over his career, along with eight sacks, seven forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and two interceptions. He led the Longhorns with 131 tackles as a senior in 2011. His brother is Cardinals linebacker Sam Acho, a fourth-round pick in 2011.
