There was little doubt about who would be under center for the Philadelphia Eagles when the team took the field in Week 1, but now the news is official: Jalen Hurts has won the Eagles starting quarterback job.

First-year head coach Nick Sirianni confirmed the decision officially on Tuesday afternoon, per multiple reporters on hand at the team’s press conference. When asked if he was prepared to name a starting quarterback, Sirianni answered bluntly.

“Nobody else got reps with the ones. … Jalen’s our starter,” the Eagles head coach said, via Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer.
