Carson Wentz is determined to start the regular season opener for the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Eagles believe he will be under center when the Super Bowl banner is raised. In this week's edition of the Monday Morning Quarterback, Peter King wrote the Eagles are confident that Wentz will be back by Week 1 and playing in the season opener for the team. If the Eagles think Wentz will be ready for Week 1, that means his projected timetable to return will be earlier than expected. There remains the possibility Wentz will be back by the middle of training camp (or at the early portion at the very least). If the Eagles plan Wentz back by Week 1, they may try to get him some reps in the preseason before throwing him out into the fire. "Carson Wentz is doing great early on in his recovery,' Mike Garafolo said on NFL Network in January. "I talked to a couple of guys about that. Matter of fact, Chris Maragos, who is coming back from his own issue, special teams guy, he saw (Wentz) in the weight room last week. Like ‘hey, maybe you should take it (easy)."
