Buffalo Sabres first-round pick Dylan Cozens and Vegas Golden Knights first-rounder Peyton Krebs will miss Hockey Canada’s summer World Junior camp with injuries.

Washington Capitals first-round pick Connor McMichael has been added to the roster as a replacement.

Cozens, the seventh overall pick in June’s NHL Draft, had surgery on his thumb earlier this month and will be sidelined for two-to-three months. He suffered the injury in a collision with teammate Brandon Hickey during Sabres development camp on June 29.

Krebs, the 17th overall pick last month, is still recovering from the Achilles’ tendon injury he suffered while training in early June.
