New York Mets legend Dwight Gooden sounded off about Yoenis Cespedes' decision to opt out of the 2020 Major League Baseball season, calling it a "weak move" on the part of Cespedes.

“He may get blackballed next year and I’m OK with that,” Gooden said on the New York Post’s “Amazin’ But True” podcast.

Cespedes, who joined the Mets in 2015, played eight games once this season began but opted out on Aug. 2, seemingly without telling the club – which issued a statement saying that they couldn't get in touch with him prior to that day's game.
