Kevin Durant has an idea on how to curb the scandals engulfing the NCAA right now. But it’s kind of an odd one. He thinks NBA salaries should be kept secret. “First off, they gotta stop publicizing how much money we make as NBA players because it’s driving these parents and kids crazy. Crazy.” Okay, that’s not a bad point. But there’s got to be more to it than this, right? After all, player salaries have been public knowledge for quite a while. That’s not why college players and their parents are freaking out. Okay, fine… it’s not the only reason college players and their parents are freaking out. Probably. But Durant continues. “So now they’re saying such and such is making $200 million on a five-year deal, what you think these parents talking about? They’re not even worried about the game no more, it’s like, ‘Oh yeah, you need to go make that.’ Whereas back in the day, I didn’t know what none of these dudes were making.” Aside from the ‘back in the day’ remark, as Durant is still just 29 years old, what do you think? Should player salaries be out of the public eye.
